What should I say?

Shirley discusses the importance of talking with your family, especially those who live alone.

Seniors should talk to their families about what is going on, especially if they live by themselves. And that way, if something happens, the family will know what the different business papers that they have. And they’ll know where to look forthem. Or even if there are hospitalizations, an insurance card; there’s just a whole lot of stuff that seniors should tell their family about. You never know what might happen. If they have to go to the hospital, they will need power of attorney, and you do need that in case something happens. But, on behalf of the whole program, we should talk to our family, especially if you live alone.
